A deep passion for calligraphy.
-
Before becoming a full time calligrapher artist I pursued a career as a Computer Engineer and also worked in Sales for a couple of years, it all came with prestige, security and financial stability. - I did fine, I did well actually. I was good at what I did, but I didn't love it.
The truth was, that deep inside me, I was craving for creativity and craftsmanship, happiest when I was creating things, thriving in all my artistic pursuits. Every time someone asked me for a calligraphy commission I could work countless hours of joyful work, but it wasn’t until I finished my Masters degree in Business and Global Branding that I decided to pursue my dream and put all my heart, mind and soul into transforming my passion into a fulfilling career and become a full-time calligrapher.
What else can you ask for? Working on what you love, and loving what you do!
Today I am so grateful and thank my mother for teaching me this wonderful art, she, without realising, gave me the best lifelong gift I could have ever dreamt of.
Being part of something bigger than myself.
At first it was scary, jumping into a calligraphy only job journey, but soon I realised that I was not only writing beautiful words, I was being part of other people's stories of love and commitments, celebrations and achievements, I was the bridge between people who really care about details and those who truly appreciate them.
